Kitchen Nightmares and Masterchef are two of my personal favorites, showing Chef Gordon as a harsh critic with exceptional standards when it comes to food. Who can forget his hot tempered persona and his slew of colorful language hurled at culinary hopefuls? Hence, here I am thrilled with the thought of delving into the craze and experiencing the sublime elevation of the hamburger into great heights of gastronomic artistry.
Formerly named Burgr, the Gordon Ramsay Burger at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas highlights American classics like the traditional hamburger, fries and milkshakes, and transforming them with a gourmet twist using the best ingredients and incorporating specialized techniques.
Browsing through the menu and making a choice is harder than you think. All these mouthwatering creations with unique and non-traditional ingredients has assuredly brought out the curious foodie in me.
After much deliberation, I ended up ordering the Hell’s Kitchen Burger with a side of Truffle Parmesan Fries. I would have ordered a second one, but after chowing down a Single Bypass Burger at the Heart Attack Grill, there’s not much room a second delectable option.
My meal came with a little bit of wait but it was well worth it. Hands down, it was the best burger I’ve ever had.
The Hell’s Kitchen Burger came as a perfect marriage of its ingredients. My first bite turned me speechless as my taste buds tried to fathom the depth of flavor and preeminent juiciness of the patty. It was flawlessly seasoned with the perfect doneness I crave in a burger. Then came the slight acidity of the roasted tomato, the subtle spicy kick of the roasted jalapeño peppers and the beautiful jalapeño aioli creating a symphony of flavors that just simply works. On top of that, the creamy texture of the avocado and melted asadero cheese added a new dimension of palatability to the entire experience.
The Truffle Parmesan Fries presented itself a champion in its own right. Perfectly cooked fries with a crunchy exterior tossed with truffle oil and generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese. Fantastic!
Fabulous food in a vibrant setting sets the pace for a superb dining experience in my book, and the Gordon Ramsay Burger is an unmistakable fusion of both. Sure the meal can a bit pricey, but the quality and the taste of what they offer makes it well worth it.
