Nothing placates the yearnings of a culinary adventurer more than the gratification of limitless indulgences here on the Las Vegas Strip. The anticipation of world class cuisine condensed into an oasis of overwhelmingly beautiful mouthwatering selections is what pulled me towards the notorious Sin City.
The Bacchanal Buffet at the Caesar’s Palace is unequivocally one of the best reviewed buffets in Vegas and my personal favorite buffet destination. Beyond the glory of a modern luxurious setting and a relaxed moderately lit atmosphere is an inexhaustible array of some of the freshest and most expertly prepared feasts that transcends traditional buffet expectations.
Fresh luxurious seafood is on the menu each night with a fine selection of snow crab legs, colossal tiger prawns, Jonah crab claws, sea snails, mussels, and fresh shucked oysters. Each bite leaving behind a refreshingly mild sweet taste implicating the elevated degree of freshness in their offerings.
If you possess a more carnivorous predilection, their beautifully cooked prime rib is sure to captivate your senses. Moreover, the carving station offers various other meaty perfections including tender beef brisket, succulent rack of lamb, fork tender pork ribs and various sausages. The roasted bone marrow next to the station is particularly palatable. It was my first taste of the dish but thoughts of its creamy and delicious punch of richness still lingers in my mind.
Next stop, their Asian food station presents a generous variety of noteworthy dishes including roast duck, Chinese barbecue pork (Char Siu), and roasted pork belly. Along with Asian staples of rice, noodles and stir fried dishes, save some room for varied dim sum dishes, sushi, poke bowls, and cold soba noodles. They also offered an array of hot served noodle dishes such as Japanese tonkatsu ramen, Vietnamese pho, udon in kombu broth and Singaporean laksa, all made fresh while you wait.
Take a culinary journey with your taste buds as you sample delectables from different parts of the world like the pork sinigang from the Philippines, lobster bisque and seafood paella from the Mediterranean, and spicy Mexican tacos made with freshly grilled tortilla.
I’ve uncovered my new obsession at the dessert station when I was presented with a prismatic selection of gelato ice cream, and found it futile to resist the overwhelming nostalgic trance, after being presented with Taro-flavored gelato, my favorite ice cream flavor growing up in the Philippines. Other equally tantalizing temptations include an array of cupcakes, French macarons, made to order crepes, rich chocolate lava cake, macha-covered strawberries and my other personal favorite, green tea macha cake.
Priced at $70 per person, the Bacchanal Buffet is a far cry from economical. This is where you leave behind your frugal ways and give in to a feast of the senses and surrender to a seemingly perpetual indulgence where food quantity meets the exceptional quality you would expect from one of the most outstanding buffets in Vegas.
