What’s in the name?

I’ll be the first to admit that the words “Kaya” and “Chanom” are somewhat new to my vocabulary. Nothing like a quick Google search won’t fix.

Kaya is simply coconut jam made with three main ingredients: coconut milk, eggs and sugar. Chanom, or rather Cha Nom, simply means Thai Tea which is made by brewing Ceylon tea leaves. You will notice that familiar orange color as milk is added giving it its distinct sweetness and creaminess.

What’s the Kaya & Chanom difference?

There’s something about that warm Kaya toast that makes it a perfect match with some ice cold Chanom.

Kaya is made fresh daily and served with exciting local flavors like ube halaya (purple yams), pandan and chocolate. Rich, creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness for my palate. It is served warm on freshly toasted bread with a little bit of thickness for that textural contrast of a crunchy exterior and slightly chewy center.

Thai Milk Tea or Cha Nom stands as one of the most popular drinks in Thailand, and has steadily become a favorite among Filipinos. Milk tea kiosks are becoming a common sight in various street corners. Even non-Thai restaurants are now serving this refreshment due to its immense popularity.

Kaya & Chanom prides on serving only the most authentic rendition of this delicious Thai refreshment. Each serving is meticulously made by brewing tea leaves imported from Thailand. You have to try it to taste the difference.

Sample different flavors from traditional to various equally delightful flavors like the Pink Sala and Choco Volcano among many others. New flavors are coming out from time to time so make sure to check back on exciting new flavor combinations.
