Main Street Cedar Falls has been our cherished spot for a leisurely afternoon stroll. Revitalizing, soothing atmosphere with some very interesting shops, casual eateries with outdoor seating, and a few places offering a delightful cup of hot cocoa. This time, we are thrilled to stop by a new restaurant in the area, Farm Shed, located at the iconic Black Hawk Hotel of downtown Cedar Falls.
Fresh, vibrant, flavorful. Japanese cuisine extends beyond a tabooed appeal of relishing uncooked portions of fresh cuts of fish rolled up with some rice. It embellishes a methodical approach to the culinary arts that takes months to learn, and years to master. It’s the utmost dedication to skill and quality that transforms the simplest of ingredients into tangible works of art that seduces one’s palate into submission.
A much awaited spring day has finally come into fruition as temperatures hit the 60’s and the day was nothing short of amazing. Such a day merits a celebration of good things to come, of new life and new beginnings. Time to shed off winter coats from the horrid winter and drive over 70 miles in pursuit of new culinary conquests!
