The highlight of our cruise has finally arrived. Nassau Bahamas is the ultimate journey’s end for this voyage. There are multiple interesting excursions you can indulge yourself into with so many choices of appealing places, exciting islands, compelling resorts and stimulating activities online. Any excursion somehow would unfortunately take up to a day so you have to choose carefully which one to quench your yearning for such adventure. For me and my husband, although Atlantis is such an enticing choice, we still chose to splurge on this gem called Pearl Island.
Pearl island is a very tiny uninhabited private isle in the Bahamas located just 30 minutes away from the port of Nassau. Upon the awaited arrival, we were confronted with crystal clear blue green water. The whole tiny island is just unbelievably beautiful. With the iconic lighthouse as their distinct point of convergence and their center of attraction, you could never go wrong of having a perfect Instagrammable photo sesh with all the lovely, dreamy beach-lighthouse-theme angle you could dream of. You could leisurely stroll and see the whole island with maybe in just 12 min or a little more. There are also activities you can indulge your senses into in this little paradise. You could go kayaking, board paddling and my personal favorite, snorkeling.
On to our snorkeling. It was half an hour guided underwater adventure. We saw vibrant protected coral reef with different colorful fascinating marine lives. The water was a little cold but I ended up not bothered by it because I was so fascinated with what I saw beneath. It was annoyingly wavy but it was nothing short of sensible pleasure and noteworthy amusement.
The island also offered delicious Bahamian lunch at the island’s restaurant, such as oven roasted chicken breast, Bahamian breaded fried fish filet, Bahamian peas, rice & coleslaw, with your choice of a pink lemonade and cold ice water. We love their breaded fish filet!
We still got time to stroll around the island after everything. What I really don’t like being in this excursion was that we were trapped here almost the whole day waiting to be picked up. But I still had an unforgettable experience nonetheless!
