Even with just a drizzle of thought about embarking on a floating resort by fair means petrifies me. I could not digest the image of being in a huge watercraft floating on a surface of an overwhelmingly large expanse of sea with no land or mountains to be seen from the horizon.

For my wife and I, 2019 unfolded with a short 4-day cruise on the warm Bahamian waters in an attempt to escape frigidly cold Iowa winters. It was a lovely first time cruise for us. Great food, wonderful people, exceptional service staff, vibrant entertainment options, and gorgeous weather seemingly arranged for that perfect cruise escapade.
