Next week, its that time again when the wind will carry bliss my way. Time to indulge my wanderlust and see this magnificent Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica. I am so thrilled! I can’t wait to splurge to another sort of adventure. I made a list of some essential items I’ll be bringing for this kind of leisure and added links below. Thanks for reading.
#1 Umbrella
August is the final month before the depths of Costa Rica’s rainy season sets in. But it’s still considered part of Costa Rica’s “light” rainy season, which stretches from May to August. Umbrella is still a must.
#2 Rain Coat
When it rains, sometimes it pours. Aside from umbrella, you might really like to protect yourself from getting drenched with rain. You might as well procure a raincoat or a coat that’s waterproof.
#3 Packable Hats
These are just so important. Aside from protecting your face from the sun, they also make your whole outfit stand out.
#4 Sunglasses
These come in handy when you don’t want to put make up on or just wear them because they’re simply stylish.
#5 Swimsuits
You are on a vacation and it’s Costa Rica. Whether you’d go on a beach resort escapade or to a volcano hot spring, you’d want to be prepared to indulge water adventures.
#6 Water Shoes
I heard there’s lot of nice rivers and magnificent waterfalls in Costa Rica. This is my first time going there but it’s vital to bring shoes that dries faster and drains water better. Also foot protection, traction and for all water activities you’d want to indulge in.
#7 Sun Screen
Protect your skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays that is associated with skin aging; these beams cause fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots that make skin look prematurely older. Get some sun screen and preserve your youthful glow.
#8 Bug Repellent
Costa Rica is a rainforest. Buy yourself a good bug spray to protect yourself from mosquito-borne illnesses like West Nile Virus, the Zika virus or malaria and tick-borne illnesses like Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. This one is a must!
#9 Day Backpack
This comes in handy for all your essentials like an extra pair of runner shoes, your umbrella, water bottle and your gadgets like cameras.
#10 Hiking or Running Shoes
There’ll be lots of hiking on your Costa Rica adventures so be prepared to have the right foot gear.
#11 Dresses
This is for an evening rendezvous. There are lots of romantic restaurants by the river, and some with a great view of the Arenal volcano. You might want to dress really well.
#12 Travel Mini Hair Dryer
I heard that some of the hotels in Costa Rica don’t have hair dryers in their rooms. If you’re like me who can’t go out with a wet hair, then maybe just to be safe, get yourself a mini hair dryer.
