Magnificent architecture resonating renaissance extravagance, coupled with beautiful people, exemplary culinary selections, elegantly designed sub modern landmarks and that rustic French appeal forever etches a mental picture when thoughts or even the very mention of the word, Paris, comes to mind. It didn’t take long to add Paris Las Vegas to our Vegas trip itinerary.
Located across the street from the world famous Bellagio, the Paris Las Vegas Hotel is land marked by a scale model of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. Inside the hotel, you are greeted with enthusiastic gambling areas, live entertainment and beautiful shops as you walk along Parisian-style streets completing the illusion of being in the epochal city of Paris.
Follow the signs and you’ll come across Le Village Buffet, where they transcend traditional Las Vegas dining into an experience emanating a sense of class and rustic elegance. Indulge into the culinary individuality of five provinces of France as each station showcases its unique style and specialty, creating a truly kinetic and multi-flavored repast.

The truly artistic decor creates a mirage of a quaint little French village with its subtle lighting, realistic representation of humble rural French cottages and stone pathways. Even the ceiling is painted with a mural of clear dusk sky further completing the illusion. All you have to do is take a journey and visit each lively food station representing each French province and indulge.
Enjoy the Penne Puttanesca at Provence, with sides of roasted carrots with bacon, eggplant, sweet potatoes, roasted mushrooms, Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Stop by Alsace and feast on their tender and juicy prime rib, succulent lamb and roast beef with au jus on the side. Other offerings include cherry glazed duck and a beautifully roasted pork loin with caramelized apples. You can also indulge on a variety of artisanal cheeses and cured meats. Soup selections included French onion soup with perfectly caramelized slow cooked onions,and tomato soup that goes perfectly with herbed fougasse or toasted bread.
At Burgundy, you can have a generous helping of crepe made fresh in front of you. Whether you fancy sweet or savory, options are written on a chalk board at the station. You also have the option of creating your own. Located in the middle is their dessert station, surmounted with a variety of vibrant pickings of sweets, pastries and fresh fruits. Brightly hued French macarons were part of their modest selections but I was a tad disheartened because it wasn’t at par with the quality I expected. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed a few pieces of the French delicacies.
Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas is another mid ranged buffet we tried on our recent Vegas trip. Dinner was modestly priced at around $30 per person. The food fares well with buffets at its price range, but the experience is what transcends it above the rest.
