Iowa’s winter is one of the worst in the country. Technically, it’s still autumn but this month of November seems to be the coldest November so far in all my 10 years here in Iowa. I love snow though. The white-out style snowstorm is paradoxically one of my favorites and at the same time one of the scariest to brave yourself out and wheeled up to work. Every year, there are even strings of days of sub zero temperatures. It’s teeth-chattering cold and today feels like winter. I can’t go out without bundling up and donning something thick for an outerwear. Well, it’s almost fab December, so it’s justified.
Since it’s so cold today, I chose to wear this puffer coat that I’m sure would give me the insulation I needed. I paired it with this pair of hidden wedge sneakers not just for comfort, but to give this look a streak of sportiness and a touch of citified playfulness.
